Simplest thing to do is remove more skin. You are young and should have adequate volume. It is clear that you have a reservoir of skin that would permit safe revision surgery that would not impact your lid closure in a negative way. I wouldn't inject filler in your lids for this condition.I wouldn't wait. It is not going to get better, and I doubt it has changed in the last 6 months. Best of luckJDW
The main reason for the wrinkles in upper eyelids is fat loss from the upper eyelids, giving deflated balloon effect, which can be improved with upper eyelid, brow filler injection. See following video and website link. Upper blepharoplasty address skin quantity issue, not skin quality issue or volume issues. Skype consult available.
Thanks for your question and posting photos. Generally, revisions on procedures are avoided for roughly 12 months. This is to allow time for all tissues to settle and the scars to mature. Given that you are near that point, you may wish to discuss your results with your surgeon. It does appear as if you still have redundant skin on your upper lids. Your surgeon may have performed a conservative resection of skin during your surgery for various reasons- consider asking him or her if this is the case. You likely can get a revision procedure to remove the remaining excess skin and smooth out some of the wrinkles. This may be able to be performed in the office under local anesthesia. In you pictures, you are looking down and not straight ahead. Generally the fix is revisional eyelid surgery by an aesthetic eyelid specialist. I encourage you to repost with better photographs.
It is frustrating , but it is not totally unusual to have ' wrinkled" lids after blepharoplasty, that were not seen before surgery. My advice is to discuss pre and post op photos ,and other concerns you have , with your surgeon . Additional surgery, fillers or other forms of treatment my be advised that are safest for the overall health of your eyes.
The skin folds are running up and down reflecting skin excess in side to side direction. Further skin reduction may help but more applicable when the folds run from side to side. A judicially applied filler can inflate the area and take up the extra skin. It can also make the eye look fuller which is a more yourthful appearance.
Revisional blepharoplasty can be considered to carefully remove some of the residual excess upper eyelid skin. When indicated, judicious application of dermal filler would increase the volume and may improve the area. The underlying cause can best be determined with a consultation and thorough exam.
Under eye hollowing can normally be fixed with volume replacement. Fillers that are Hyaluronic Acid based are best for that sensitive area. There are different types of HA fillers and a consultation with a trained injector is best to decide which on is right for you. A good way to find an e...
The position of the upper and lower eyelids are slightly different between the two eyes. Causes may include different position of the eyes in the bony orbit relative to one another, difference size/ shape of the eyes, eyelid retraction due to systemic causes, or droopiness of the eyelids. ...
Hello jsxt34, Surgery cost depends on many factors. This is either an orbital problem or eyelid. Which route you should go depends on what the underlying cause of your appearance is. Before answering your excellent question my suggestion is to seek out an Oculoplastic surgeon to...
Hey man, thanks for your question- It sounds like you had an orbital floor fracture- the most common of eye injuries. What can happen is the fat that surrounds the eye and allows it to be equal in position to the other side- some of it can fall through the fracture line... This makes the...
Thank you for your photos. Festoons can be difficult to treat. They are due to a combination of the deep ligamentous attachments to your face, as well as fluid and fat in that area. In my experience an extended blepharoplasty yields the best results. Superficial treatments such as lasers or ...
The rate of complications with tear trough implants are no greater than any other facial implant. When placed through an open lower blepharoplasty incision and secured with microscrews, their complication rate is very low. The key to their use is that their shape and thickness matched the...
