Answer: It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen. It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen. Your photos look like a typical surgery. Perhaps it should have less scabbing at this point.

Answer: Scabs after FUE Scabbing after FUE is to be expected. You should follow your surgeons recommended hair washing regimen. We having a video on the website if you'd like a detailed step by step post FUE hair washing routine. Hopefully every day has less and less scabbing as the healing process continues. After the 4th day post surgery, the grafts are set.....this implies you may be more aggressive with your hair washing and leave the soapy suds of the shampoo on longer to soften the crusts.

Answer: Scrubs formed after a FUE You may start to wash your transplant area at second day of surgery with care and massage the transplant area gently so the scabs will fall off... After two weeks of hair transplantation it is acceptable to wash hairs as normal /preoperative period of surgery. All scabs should be cleaned with pressured (not gentle) massage to transplant area after 2 weeks .Dont forget that you may wash your head with normal pressure and if you need you can use a wet towel with soap for massage the scabby area, it Works very well to remove scabs .Patient may feel free to loosen any scabs on his/her head by massaging and that will not damage the grafts after 2 weeks .

Answer: Early FUE post-op care Not to be concerned. The provided photo is showing normal healing of the recipient site implants on your scalp. You need to be very careful not to dislodge the implanted grafts before the process of stem cells forming the new follicles. Let the scabs fall off naturally. I give my patients a saline solution to spray on the grafted area at least two or three times a day to promote the clean up process. My clinic, CapriHairRestoration also stocks the Iamin aftercare kits which have proven to be very effective in decreasing the time that the scalp takes to return to normal.
