9 months since 3000 graft FUE procedure - I’m concerned crown grafts isn’t growing? (Photos)

It takes a lot of hair to fill in a crown, and often crown hair growth is delayed compared to growth in the frontal forelock/hairline. Many patients at 9 months still have significant growth in the crown ahead of them, so best to follow up with your physician at 12 months and even at 18 months for the final result.

It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.

You had a very large area that was transplanted with only 3000 grafts. It also seems that few grafts were placed into the crown.  Even with good mature growth, you will still have see through in the crown. 
You are also still at 9 months post and there is room to improve.  If you have less than 100% growth, and then you will have less than satisfactory outcome and more see through. If you can share the size of the area transplanted and how much grafts went into crown will provide better guide of what to expect from the surgery. 
If you are still concerned by 12 months, contact your surgeon as you can discuss your expectations with them. 

I always tell patients that their recourse is to speak with their surgeon if they are every disappointed in their hair transplant results. Good surgeons care about patient results and their satisfaction and it is their surgeons that set the expectations that are needed. The discussion with your surgeon is not and should not be confrontational. It should be a cordial meeting where you can discuss what you are seeing on your head and what expectations you had going into the surgery. Sometime, the results fall short and if is the case, try to find out why that happened and if you both communicated properly on the expectation issue.
