Have been boxing and stopped, but one eye is larger than the other? (Photo)

Question

So I've been boxing for a year.About half a year ago I was hit in the left eye and supposedly my left eye socket was "fractured" now it has healed itself back up. I noticed one eye is smaller (the left) than the right eye. Could it have healed wrong? This was never an issue before the accident . Ive heard about plastic surgery but that is the chance of the surgery messing up? Or creating more problems than solving ? Thank you.

Hey man, thanks for your question- 
It sounds like you had an orbital floor fracture- the most common of eye injuries. What can happen is the fat that surrounds the eye and allows it to be equal in position to the other side- some of it can fall through the fracture line... This makes the eye seem smaller or lower in the face relative to the good eye. 
Does this make sense? It can be repaired. See a board certified surgeon who you trust to learn more.
