This is a good question! One thing that is important to note is if the dimpling occurred from thread placement or from the threads themselves. Usually in our office we see the patient back in two weeks and the threads have settled down. However, in certain select cases it may take longer than that 6-8 weeks. The Instalift within the first 3 months lifts by the thread alone but as time goes on stimulates more collagen production resulting in long term results. The best way to make an accurate statement in your case is to see a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon that is well versed in Instalift for a consultation.
Dear linda2moy,Thank you for your question. Dimples are not unexpected after the procedure and usually resolve within days to weeks. If you have any persistent issues or other concerns, I recommend you seek re-evaluation with your provider.
Thank you for your question. It is normal to see some swelling and dimples for the first week after the procedure. If you continue to see swelling and dimples after the first week please contact your provider. Always make sure you seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.
Following your InstaLift procedure, it's normal to see some swelling, dimpling or unevenness for the first week. This should resolve on its own by about 2 weeks at the latest. If you don't see the improvements you hope for by then, schedule a follow-up to check back in with your provider.
in general i have seen most "dimples" resolve after 1 week. If they persist longer i suggest a re-evaluation by your surgeon. at time a simple subcision can resolve it.
These dimples occur when the suture is adherent to skin or superficial dermis. In theory in 8- 12 weeks however sometimes it could be longer. If it persists then check with your Instalift provider.
Congratulations on your recent InstaLift treatment. The dimpling will usually resolve within a few days to a week although rarely could last a little longer. Some of the dimpling can be from the tiny opening created to insert the threads (although the actual opening usually heals within a few days), and some of the dimpling may seem more obvious due to some swelling in the area. I would suggest using cool compresses on the areas of concern. If you are not scheduled for a 1 week recheck, you might want to see your physician to have this checked if still present at a week. Best wishes, Mary Beth Mudd
Thank you, Linda, for your question. I see my patients two weeks after placement of the InstaLift threads. At that time, any dimples have resolved. Patients report that the procedure and recovery are virtually pain-free.
Thank you for your very good questions. The Silhouette Lift consist of small entry points made in your skin by a needle. There is no scalpel used. No incision scars. This is all good news if someday you might need or want a formal facelift/necklift. Yes, you can wait 2 years and rece...
Yes, Silhouette can be used in the brow to lift it modestly. It is thin enough that it would be unlikely to show through the skin, unless your forehead skin is very thin. A competent practitioner should be able to tell you if it is safe for you in that location. One thread...
You probably had some swelling after the procedure, which is normal after any facelift procedure. Wait for 5-7 days and the swelling should subside. If not, consult the surgeon who did your procedure or a board certified plastic surgeon near you.
