I had Instalift four months ago and have a dent where the thread was pulled tight. The threads and sutures are absorbable so I'm hoping when this dissolve the dent will go away too.

Answer: InstaLift Thank you for your question. Typically, InstaLift has absorbable lift sutures that dissolve over time. I recommend you visit your physician who performed the procedure. Always remember to seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.

Answer: Instalift Dents The silhouette instaft is made up of 95% poly-L-lactic. This is the same component that is in Sculptra. The life of this, as an average, is 18 months. There is a giant cell reaction at first, which is how the threads stimulate collagen. Although there are no pictures I would assume the "dent" is at the point of insertion mid way. This is common although there are ways to avoid this. Your dents will diminish with time. If there is swelling around the insertion point this will make your dents appear deeper. You physician can apply pressure and release some of the cones near the dent and this may allow it to smooth out without affecting the long term desired results.
