If I have Silhouette will there be many scars that will affect a good result for a future facelift?

Scarring or any other effects from Silhouette Instalift treatments should likely not have any major impact on the results of a future facelift, as the results of Silhouette Instalift tend to be more short-term compared to those of a facelift. It is common for patients to pursue repeat Silhouette Instalift procedure two years after their previous treatment. I recommend that you seek an in-person evaluation with a facial plastic surgeon or plastics surgeon who will perform a thorough examination and discuss with you the best rejuvenation treatment options including Silhouette Instalift that will meet your goals. 

Thank you for your very good questions.  The Silhouette Lift consist of small entry points made in your skin by a needle.  There is no scalpel used.  No incision scars.  This is all good news if someday you might need or want a formal facelift/necklift.  Yes, you can wait 2 years and receive another Silhouette Lift.  The material is the same that we use with Sculptra injectable.  Often patients will come back every few years for a touch up.  Best to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or Otolaryngologist, (ENT).  They will be able to let you know what might work best in your case, (Silhouette Lift vs. Fillers vs. Surgery), as they do all of the above.  Please call with any questions.Jeffrey J. This should not affect any future facelifts you decide to have. The InstaLift procedure does not leave scars on the face.
