Swelling 10 days after Silhouette InstaLift. Is this normal?

To be very honest, it is very difficult to remove silhouette insta-lift sutures completely. If there is certain portion of the thread that is out, it can be pulled, but it can never be removed completely. However, these are absorbable threads and get completely absorbed in 12 weeks or so.

Thanks for your question.  There is a possibility of infection if the sutures are not fully resorbed by this stage.  There might be other signs or symptoms if it is infected and it would be worth going to revisit your surgeon to evaluate.

I would agree with the previous comment and suggest that you wait for at least 3-4 weeks before adding additional sutures.  Most patients find that they are happy with the results once the swelling settles and the overall look emerges.  As for treating the neck, this is an off-label indication b...
