This is difficult to answer without an in-person evaluation, but this is unlikely due to your Thermage treatment 1 1/2 years ago. Hyperpigmentation can be improved with a combination of lasers, Aerolase, microneedling/prp, skin lightening, peels, and skin care. Sun protection is essential. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Good afternoon,This is a difficult question to answer. I gather from the way you phrase it that you didn't have indentations or hyper pigmentation before and it all started after the treatment was administered (?)Typically neither of these complications result from Thermage (especially if there wasn't a burn etc) and I think it's best that you discuss your concerns with your original treatment team. They should still have your pre treatment photos and records to help guide the discussion. In terms of what to do now, if you can't tolerate lightening creams then you should at least practice very sound Sun protection and consider other lightening strategies like micro needleing.A Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist should be able to offer further advice regarding your concerns provided they have experience with this technology and these issues.Best of luck.Dr Nodwell
I have been performing Thermage for years and have never seen either of these side effects. I would recommend you posting before and after photos to assist you. There are a number of lasers and creams that can help you as well as fillers such as Voluma and Sculptra for restoring volume. An in office consultation would be necessary to assist you. Thanks for your question. I have been doing Thermage since 2001 and have seen a "dent" only one time and it was in the early years of Thermage. The dent was corrected with Sculptra. I have never seen hyperpigmentation secondary to this proceedure, but it could occur if an area became too hot or if the tip were defective causing a superficial burn. In my opinion, it is unlikely that these side effects would appear 18 months after treatment. Without photos it is difficult to determine a specific treatment, but IPL, KTP laser, microneedling, and peels plus dermaplaning may be reasonable treatments for the hyperpigmentation. For the "dent" fillers such as Sculptra, hyaluronic acids, or Bellafill may be beneficial. See an expert and all the best to you.

Hey there,Body Thermage is mainly indicated for skin tightening. This happens because of new collagen formation. Subcutaneous heating may cause some fat lysis but not significant. Therefore if you have subcutaneous fat first some procedure like cryolipolysis should be done before Thermage...
A combination of treatments can help with this delicate under eye area. I use PRP with microneedling, eMatrix with the special eye piece, and under eye fillers to help rejuvenate this area. Thermage is great for rejuvenating collagen and skin tightening for the entire face and eyes and v...
