Is thermage effective if done again a few years later to achieve better results?

Thermage should be beneficial now for you as well.  The fourth generation FLX can give nice immediate results with the right physician and the right patient ! Your collagen has been very responsive before and it should still be so.  Significant weight loss — 60-100 pounds—- might require surgery if you desire complete tautness of the abdomen. For mild to moderate skin issues, Thermage FLX can provide a wonderful result. Waiting a few years , however , means that you are not building on your previous result but are starting over. My patients who are candidates for Thermage are very happy with their results.

Yes!  There is added benefit with repeat Thermage treatments.  Most patients elect to undergo treatment once or twice a year in order to help maintain a healthy and youthful appearance.  Those who pursue a series of treatments spaced a month or so apart tend to see significant ongoing improvement.

Thermage will continue to give you results up to a year after the procedure. My Thermage Clients will come back for Thermage Treatments every two years to maintain their results and see improvement with every treatment. Thermage is used as a maintenance treatment to prolong facial Plastic surgery. Helps keep skin tight and improves skin elasticity.  

This is difficult to answer without pictures. Keep in mind, non surgical options give only mild improvement compared to surgical lifting. With non-surgical treatments, skin tightening can be done with a combination of vanquish, venus legacy, exilis, celllutone/Zwave.  For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like a VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck, if you're a candidate. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. Since collagen continues to degrade, repeating Thermage every one to two years will maintain the effects of treatment.

Thermage is very effective at treating laxity. Results will typically last 1-2 years. You can repeat the procedure at the 3-6 month point after the first treatment to gain potentially more improvement. 

Thermage would still be effective and you should see improvement!  My patients love Thermage and typically schedule repeat treatments every one to two years to maintain results.  Make sure to schedule an in-person assessment to create a treatment plan right for you.

 If your initial Thermage (Radiofrequency) treatment gave you a reasonable result a further Radiofrequency /Ultrasound treatment should give you added improvement after a few years.  We currently use UltraCel for Skin tightening on the face and body which uses both Radiofrequency and Ultrasound. In addition for the body we also use  Exilis with sonic shockwave, Pelleve and Myokinetic Magnetic Induction.  Also Coolsculpting and Vanquish and Sculpsure to remove any residual pockets of fat.  We usually use a combination of machines to achieve an optimal result, however  photos and a detailed physical examination would be necessary to discuss realistic non surgical expectations and if we could not achieve this we would send you for a more invasive assessment.
