This seems like a very small procedure that could be easily taken care of by a cosmetic gynecologist. Most likely a surgeon that does the larger cosmetic gyn procedures you mentioned can easily do this quick in office procedure. Hymenal tag removal is quick office procedure. I do them under local. Most require no stitches. Most take less than 5 minutes. Perhaps your gp is not the right doc for the job. Seek out a gynecologist.

Only the elongated tissue that you specify can be cut and removed without interfering with the labium minor.
