Hi. I have a hymenal skin tag, or hymenal remaints. Its about an inch in length right at the vaginal opening. My gp assured me its just a small extra piece of flesh but they cant remove it in an office appoint. I see a lot of doctors offer labiaplasty or hymenoplasty but i feel like this falls under neither. Its like a small piece of hymen that is still there that looks like a skin tag, and i very much want it removed! Thanks for any advice.
Answer: If I want to remove a hymenal skin tag Hello, the remnants of the hymen at the entrance of the vagina can sometimes cause a boring and bad appearance and sometimes even problems in intercourse. Any doctor dealing with genital aesthetics can easily remove these tissue pieces. The procedure to be applied is decided according to your situation.

Answer: Hymenal skin tag This seems like a very small procedure that could be easily taken care of by a cosmetic gynecologist. Most likely a surgeon that does the larger cosmetic gyn procedures you mentioned can easily do this quick in office procedure. I would go and see one of them, it should not be any where near the cost or time that a larger procedure would be. I hope this helps.

Answer: Hymen tag removal Thanks for your question. It's difficult to say for certain without an in person exam, but a small flap of skin can typically be removed in the office under local aesthetic. No down time would be required for this. I would recommend seeing a cosmetic gyn or similar specialist who can tell you exactly what you're seeing and advise you on how to move forward.
