How do I know if my hymenoplasty sutures tore? (Photo)

I noticed that I was putting a little too much pressure on the surgical area while I was getting up from bed and sitting down by my desk. How can I tell if the sutures tore from this pressure without actually touching or looking at the area?

Your hymenoplasty repair won't be impacted by getting out of bed or sitting for extended amounts of time.
I suggest that you not tug or touch the hymenoplasty repair site. Simply allow it to recover. Having your surgeon look at the hymenoplasty repair is the only method to determine whether your sutures from the hymenoplasty are torn.

dear patient to find out if your sutures are intact or torn the best way is to see your doctor who can tell you if the sutures are intact by examining you and looking at the surgical site.

Hymenoplasty scars and sutures are fragile, but not so fragile that getting up from bed and sitting down in a chair will tear them. Your efforts to take a look at the area could winding tearing your stitches and should not be attempted and you won't know what you're looking at anyway. Your best option is to see your surgeon. Other gynecologists or physicians unfamiliar with hymenoplasty might also tear your stitches in an effort to take a look so beware. If your stitches are torn, they cannot be re-sutured.

Don't touch; don't look. If your HP wat performed correctly (there are several techniques) your sutures will not have torn from "sitting too heavily." Take care however to not put direct pressure on the surgical area by forcefully sitting with your legs widely apart for the first 3-4 weeks.
