Does j plasma on abdomen work long term?

Thank you for your question. Renuvion (J-Plasma) is the latest subdermal skin tightening procedure. Can be used at the end of the liposuction procedure to create significant skin tightening. Renuvion (helium plasma and radiofrequency), does not take the place of skin excision. If a lot of loose skin is present, the patient will need a skin excision. If the looseness is "borderline" Renuvion can be used and the patient will avoid a long lower abdominal incision. It can also be done later, if the patient believes that he/she did not get skin tightening from the liposuction (I use the VASER, traditional lipo will not give a lot of skin tightening). It is relatively new technology used by plastic surgeons and it is expensive technology. This could explain partly why it is not widely used. I started using Renuvion since February, and I am very pleased with what I see so far. There are other technologies, like Bodytite (radiofrequency) and Thermitight (radiofrequency) but there are no controlled studies to compare these technologies at the present.Results depend on the surgeon's technical ability and settings used to deliver the energy both at the subdermal and fascial level. Results last at least 3-4 years, based on the initial time when this was introduced. Will not stop skin aging, but if you maintain your weight after the liposuction surgery, it should have long lasting results.
