I’m 22F, never had kids, 5’6 and 150 lb. My breasts have always been this shape and with large areolas and nipples pointing straight down. I glost around 30lb 3 years ago which worsened the appearance of the stretch marks but the shape stayed the same with an inch reduction in overall breast circumference. My masseuse pointed out that I might have tuberous breasts (a condition her daughter had) while I believed that I just had very saggy breasts. Any opinions/feedback welcome!
Answer: Bellesoma Method Your breasts are not tuberous, just ptotic, widely separated and you have large areolas. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Do I have tuberous breasts? Women with tuberous breasts sometimes describe the following features: breasts that are too pointy, too far apart, too narrow, saggy, nipples that are large and puffy with low nipple position, high breast folds and tissue that hangs over the folds. Women with tuberous breast may experience one or many of these characteristics. Most women are not born with saggy breasts, so many women who feel like their breasts have always been saggy do have some features of tuberous breast. Consultation with a plastic surgeon is recommended because the reconstructive options vary and can be individualized to meet your specific aesthetic goals.

Answer: Breast lift It is not possible to say with certainity whether you have narrow breasts (tuberous breasts are in that cathegory) due to severe ptosis (sagging). A breast lift, which willl address the shape of breasts, reduce areolas, and position nipples at the center of the breast, would be procedure of choice. Small augmentation with implants may be considered. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Answer: Tuberous breasts with ptosis Hi. It looks like you have both tuberous and saggy (ptotic) breasts. This could be corrected with a breast lift with or without implants. However, if it doesn’t bother you too much, you could wait until you are done with childbearing to fix it, since there will definitely be more changes during that process. Hope that helps!

Answer: Tuberous breasts Dear Intuitive157378, tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall. The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition. My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries. That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
