Permanent Nerve damage 4 years postop Rhinoplasty - advice?

Question

I had rhinoplasty 4 years ago and I have no feeling in most of my nose. So this permanent Nerve damage is the fault of the physician or just bad luck? Does this mean going into a facelift I should worry about the same thing happening or completely unrelated?

Sensory alteration of the nose is not uncommon after rhinoplasty. The nose is innervated by multiple nerves. Inadvertent and unavoidable injury to one or more of these nerves may occur, resulting in a degree of sensory loss. It is usually transient, but occasionally permanent.
There should be no association between rhinoplasty and facelift postoperative sensory alteration.
