1 year + 1 month after rhinoplasty, touched some blackheads on the tip and now the area is red and swollen. Did I cause damage?

Hi I’m a Caucasian female and I had a revision rhinoplasty a year and one month ago. A few days ago I had touched some blackheads on the tip of my nose which I know I shouldn’t have. But now I’m worried because the area is a little bit red and a little swollen and there is a small red bump that is slightly raised. When I gently press on the bump it hurts a bit too, almost like bruising. Could I have caused damage so long after my revision rhinoplasty?

Good Morning! It's possible that there is a small amount of cellulitis or an infection in the area. Trying some antibiotic ointment over the area can help or obtaining antibiotics to take by mouth. If no improvement in a couple days or you worsen quickly, I would seek re-evaluation with your surgeon. Infections in the nasal tip can be devastating if untreated in cases of revision rhinoplasty.
