Is there a procedure to help with my scar tissue? Original rhinoplasty done 2 years ago. (photos)

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

Thank you for sharing your photo and question. From the limited view of your nose provide it appears you may have some medial displacement (pushed toward the center) of the lower lateral crura (nasal tip cartilage that helps create the ala). This could be caused by several reasons. Regardless of the specific cause, the way to fix (or at least improve) this problem is with another revision, not filler. Filler is likely to take up space in the nasal tip and displace the problematic cartilage more medially. The most appropriate next step is allow time for the filler to dissolve and consult with a facial plastic surgeon (one that performs many revision rhinoplasty procedures). Hello! The area you're highlighting is referred to as the vestibule. The area of fullness is near where many rhinoplasty incisions are made. It's possible that there is cartilage graft material which is too prominent and pushing into the nasal cavity. If it is scarring, I usually try steroid injections to see if improvements can be made. If none, then debulking the cartilage or scar tissue in the area is often necessary. There are options and I would seek consultation with a facial plastic surgeon who is comfortable with revision rhinoplasty. Hope this helps out!
