Can I add fillers to my nose to make it appear smaller? Botox for my nostrils. Also change the tip or will I need to? (Photos)

Hi and thanks for your question. Your pictures are a bit tough to interpret, but it seems like it is possible to lift and define the tip and bridge of your nose, which would make your nose blend better with the rest of your face. When the nose stands out less from the rest of the face, it looks smaller.There are several options of fillers. For a temporary effect of about 1.5 years I like to use Voluma. The result is smooth and natural looking and the filler is reversible with an enzyme injection if you don't like the result (almost never happens). There is a longer lasting filler called Bellafill that I use with patients who have had the temporary procedure. Bellafill lasts for many years and in some patients is actually permanent.

I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results. Facial fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) along with Botox can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose and lift the tip. However, it won't make your nose appear smaller. Surgery would be needed to improve nostrils or overall shape. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Hi and thank you for your question! Generally speaking, since we use fillers to "add volume", it's not possible to make the nose smaller with filler injection. However, we can sculpt a more balanced and pleasant look with fillers which can contribute to improved overall look of the nose. For example, a patient can have an undefined and flat nose bridge which can make the nose look wider than it really is and we can effectively address this issue with filler injection at nose bridge. We can also address nose humps and bumps with filler and in some cases, we can even generate a lift to lift up the tip of the nose with fillers and botox. .It is hard to tell based on the pictures you posted and any case, an in-person consultation is always required so I highly recommend that you see a cosmetic physician with experience in nonsurgical nose treatments for best results. Thank you for your photos. It is definitely possible to improve the contours of your nose with an injectable filler. Although it does not physically shrink your nose, changing the proportions can make your nose appear smaller or better suited relative to your face. It is important to go to an experienced injector who can perform the procedure properly as their is a risk of tissue loss and injury with incorrect injections. I prefer a dissolvable HA filler such as VOLUMA which is safer and can be reversed if it is not to your liking. You may also want to consider a rhinoplasty in the long-term which can create more dramatic results and are permanent which may be more cost-effective in the long-run. Hope this helps!
