Thank you for the detailed question. Yes, a patient is a candidate for Kybella even after having injectables. Usually the Kybella and other injectables are used in different areas of the face and neck, so there is no concern for them being used at the same time. Kybella is approved for use under the chin and jaw line and melts away the excess fat, where as injectables are used on the face to help fill hollows in places where there once was fat. I recommend seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon or expert injector in-person so you can discuss your goals, review your medical history and they can help you form the right treatment plan for you. Hi Alisha, thanks for your question! Yes, Kybella can definitely be done after getting fillers placed in your chin. Kybella is made of deoxycholic acid, which permanently dissolves fat cell membranes. Kybella will give you a more contoured and sculpted chin and will compliment the fillers that were placed in your chin. You may need more than one treatment of kybella for full results. I recommend seeing an experienced injector for more information. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. Kybella can certainly be paired with other fillers. It can be an excellent compliment to sculpt underneath the chin and jawline to help remove excess fatty tissue. It may require 2 -3 treatments in most cases. We use Kybella with trusculpt in our office to receive the most desired outcome. Best wishes.
The combination of filler and Kybella is beautiful to redefine the chin and jawline. I use it often; it is very safe and effective. The Kybella targets fat cells, and the filler is undisturbed. To ensure you are receiving the highest level of care, seek out a modernly trained, new-school dermatologic surgeon, oculoplastic surgeon, facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon who is board certified and fellowship trained in one of these “core four” cosmetic specialties. Membership in organizations like the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery help to identify a highly trained surgeon.Cameron Chesnut#realself500 Physician
Ues you can have Kybella after getting fillers. The Kybella is for fat under your chin, the filler is for loss of volume in your chin.
Hello! Thank you for your post. Kybella and fillers are a great combination -- your Kybella injection will not disrupt the fillers that you already have, and the two treatments together are very likely to give you the fully-sculpted look you seek. Be sure to familiarize yourself with what to expect from Kybella before you choose this treatment -- it can take a few weeks for your results to settle in. You will also experience some initial swelling from Kybella that may cause you to feel puffy, which can be disheartening after you have already had fillers to help sculpt the area -- rest assured that this will subside soon. I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area. An in-person evaluation and thorough discussion of your options will help you learn more about Kybella and what the treatment may be able to do for you. I hope this helps!
Kybella and fillers can certainly compliment each other to achieve desired results. Contouring would be from filler to enhance volume in areas of loss and Kybella for removal of chin fat. Expect and be prepared for swelling of your chin and neck area for some days afterward especially with the initial treatment. A few treatments are usually required for best results. The filler will not be removed by Kybella.
Kybella and fillers can be combined in order to truly sculpt the jaw and chin areas. Be sure that you are receiving your injections from a physician who specializes in aesthetic medicine. You will love the results!
Hi alisha2323,Kybella when injected into the submental area dissolves only the fat. It does not travel to the chin area so no fears about inadvertently removing the filler. If your mandible is enlarged, you may want a little more contouring by injecting Botox. All the best,Justin Harper, M.D.
Typically, patient don't experience as much swelling with subsequent treatments as they do with their first treatment of Kybella. It takes 6-8 weeks to see results after each Kybella treatment session.
"A formal evaluation would be needed to determine what's best. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the...
Kybella is FDA approved for treatment of the fat causing a double chin. While it can work anywhere there is fat, there are other other modalities such as Coolsculpt that are specifically approved for the love handles. I would highly recommend that you be evaluated for Coolsculpt.
