It is difficult to say. As you probably read, it takes many months for noses to completely heal. Swelling and formation of healing tissue that remodels over time takes many months. I would recommend following the recommendations of your surgeon. Within a few months you should know whether it was successful or not. Obviously if the bump persists and bothers you, you will need to discuss that with your surgeon about possibly doing some additional surgery to fix it. This usually would be done after a year.
