I have noticed it one month post op that my right breast fall into my armpit but i was told to wait atleast 6 month to make a desicion weather i need another surgery or not . I want to make sure of my decision because I've had two surgeries so far and going under another surgery and anesthesia might be dangerous. But i also can't live like this.my scars are still red and itchy , my breasts are still firm and they fall into the sides !
Answer: Implant Displacement I am sorry you are having this problem. It appears that your implants have become laterally displaced and you may need a revision, which involves closing off the pocket laterally, preventing the implant from falling off when you lie down. It is a fairly straight forward procedure. Talk to your surgeon, as I am sure he or she will be happy to help. Good luck!

Answer: My breasts fall into my armpit after breast augmentation! I am sorry to hear about the problem you are experiencing. You demonstrate your concerns nicely. Although some “falling to these sides” of breast implants is quite normal when you lie down, if this occurs “excessively”, it may be a concern to patients. This phenomenon is called lateral displacement of the breast implant; it may be of concern from the visual and the discomfort standpoints. Surgical correction is an option. Generally, the lateral breast implant displacement can be corrected using an internal suture technique, decreasing the size of the pockets and moving the implants toward the midline. In my practice, I use a 2 layered suture technique (capsulorraphy) to close off the space laterally (towards the axilla). The use of acellular dermal matrix is an option ( although not usually necessary) especially if significant implant rippling/palpability is present. I hope this (and the attached link) helps.

Answer: Sliding Implant The pocket, or capsule, for your breast implant is wider than the implant itself. Therefore the implant has lots of room to slide around in. When you lay back, gravity just pulls the implants sideways. This can be corrected in the operating room by tightening the capsule on the side, keeping your implant centralized with good cleavage. Discuss this with you PS. Best wishes.
