I hate the way my nose looks when I smile and I don’t want surgery. I don’t want to use filler to change my nose cuz I heard filler moves and doesn’t dissolve so I’d rather wait till I’m a lot older to get any sort of filler so that it doesn’t build up. Would Botox keep my nose straight when I smile? How long would it last? And how much would it cost in Toronto Canada?

Based on your photos, when you smile, your upper lip muscle appears to raise your columella, and that is what is giving a droopy appearance. I believe that a Botox treatment would ultimately distort your upper lip with smiling in order to prevent it from pulling your nasal tip downward. Thank you for your question. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

When you smile, the muscles of the upper lip region tightens/pulls back, and the tip of the nose will pull down slightly. Botox can help release this pull of the depressor septi nasi muscle. Usually 2-4 units is needed for this treatment. The cost of botox is by the unit which averages anywhere between $9-18 per unit.
