Bodytite is a radio-frequency treatment which serves to tighten skin. This accomplished by subdermal heating of the collagen fibers which can cause tightening as well as stimulate fibroblast activity for collagen deposition. This can be combined with liposuction (but does not necessarily need to be). The fat removal component is no different than traditional liposuction. For those patients with excess fat in the absence of skin laxity Bodytite does not necessarily hold an advantage over more traditional liposuction. However, in patients with laxity or in whom there is a concern for worsening laxity post liposuction, a radio-frequency tightening will help. With regards to your specific question, Bodytite can be performed in conjunction with liposuction for BBL fat harvest. However, Bodytite heating renders the fat not usable for transfer. Liposuction can be performed with Bodytite to follow. Thus preserving the fat and allowing for tightening. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).
Liposuction can be performed to harvest the fat and then the bodytite can be used for additional tightening of tissues.Kenneth Hughes, MD
A combination of Liposuction, Body Tite and fat transfer is possible. Liposuction will remove the offending fat while Body Tite energy will tighten the excess skin. Fat transfer to the breast, butt or face is possible. It all depends on the areas you are wanting to target.
Thank you for your question. It is possible to harvest the fat from a BodyTite procedure for a BBL. For more information please make sure you get a in person consultation from a board-certified dermatologist.
I would not treat the area with Bodytite if I wanted to use the fat from that area for fat grafting. Fat grafting can be very effective but I would not want the results potentially compromised with the Bodytite treatment.
Body Tite can be used in conjunction with BBL, but the fat harvested after BodyTite is used is not reliable. Therefore, we just switch the order around (lipo then BodyTite, versus the opposite) when a patient seeks both Brazilian Butt Lift and BodyTite at the same time.
Hi and thanks for the question. To answer your question, in short, yes. Generally speaking, while thee BodyTite device does cause some element of lipolysis or the breakdown of fat, its true value-add is found in its ability to contract the dermis in a 3-dimensional manner, providing unprecedented, scarless soft-tissue tightening. With that, the fat that is broken down in the process may be utilized for fat transfer, however this is a de minimis amount of fat in comparison the total harvested fat typically taken for a Brazilian Butt Lift. I utilize Vaser-assisted lipoplasty to procure the fat, which produces a very high-quality fat for transfer with an added value of creating deeper tissue contraction. The procedure is then completed with BodyTite to allow for optimal soft-tissue contraction on both superficial and deep planes. Warmest Regards,Glenn Vallecillos, MD, FACS
Hi There Thank you for your question.Bodytite destroys the fat as it works so really it cannot be used for grafting. It is best to harvest fat prior to Bodytite and then do the procedure while the fat is being processed.Kind Regards Dr Dinesh Maini Zenith Cosmetic Clinics
Thank you for your question. BodyTite utilizes radio-frequency energy to destroy fat and tighten the skin. If you are looking to have a BBL performed, it would be best to have the fat harvested prior to the BodyTite procedure which can then be used for skin tightening if that is an effect you desire. Fat harvested after the BodyTite procedure is not viable. I use the Tickle Lipo to harvest the fat cells as it is much less traumatic to the cells than many other forms of lipo and does an outstanding job of assisting the physician in sculpting the body. I have used the BodyTite in conjunction with the BBL to shape and tighten problem areas of the buttocks. In addition, I used PRP and Sculptra in conjunction with all my BBL's to optimize the outcome. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore
Bodytite works well for skin tightening as the name implies. It melts fat and causes skin retraction more than any other device out there. However, the fat cannot be used for autologous fat grafting as its been heated in the tightening process and thus not as viable.
The cost of Bodytite depends on the area that is being treated. It is important to see a qualified plastic surgeon in person who has experience with this technology. For example a scarless arm lift with bodytite ranges from 8.000-10.000. The fact that in most cases a brachioplasty with...
Thank you for your question. The recovery time is based on the number of areas being treated. Typically, I recommend patients to resume their normal activities after 3-4 days. Please consult your provider and always seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.
Thank you for your question. BodyTite can is used to treat any area of the body. The most common areas include the thighs, flanks, abdomen, upper arms and back. For more information, please make sure you get a in person consultation from a board-certified dermatologist.
