Would I benefit from under-eye fillers? (photos)

Fillers like Belotero, Volbella, and Restylane Silk are good for improving under the eyes, but keep in mind that a combination approach will give the most improvement. My patients try to get non-surgical treatments to avoid surgery, so we use fillers, lasers, microneedling/PRP and stem cells. It's great that you take care of yourself, however there are several reason why from such a young age people have dark circles. The nasolacrimal furrows are a distinctive feature of the face, their appearance is related to different causes:Tiredness, stress, unhealthy lifestyle habits, excessive consumption of alcohol and tobacco, incorrect iron production, less oxygenation in the tissues, some allergies can congest the blood vessels, loss of fat around the eyes or genetic antecedents. In non surgical treatments a great option is to have a protocol with hyaluronic acid to minimize the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. I link a video to shed more light! Best wishes! Hello and thank you for your question! Filler is a great way to replace Volume loss throughout the tear trough. The tear trough skin is very thin and delicate, therefore a thin molecule filler should be used in this area such as Juvederm Volbella. Another approach is Platelet-rich plasma. Injecting your platelets locally in this area can help to stimulate collagen and help to improve the quality of skin. At your age, what you have is a congenital depression from the weight of the muscles and ligaments attach to the bone. Though this is different from what happens with loss of volume with aging, treatment is similar. Surgery is not reasonable since you have no excess skin. Treatment is to fill the depressed area between the muscles on the bone with a heavy filler like Juvederm Voluma®. Fillers like Juvederm Volbella, Belotero, or Restylene Silk are generally placed in the superficial tissues where they interfere with the normal lymphatics of the area and actually cause further swelling and problems. This is reinforced by all of the people who are having filler in the under eye dissolved because of problems after injection. Essentially all of those were because the wrong filler was used in the wrong location. This is a carryover from how we 1st tried to fill this area. Modern understanding of the area and the new fillers has markedly changed how we treat this area, though probably 90% of the inject doors still use the antiquated method and old fillers. Make certain that you see a true expert in treating this area who can tell you that they essentially never have problems from filling this area.
