Hi, I’ve had these lines around my mouth and they bother me. I am wondering what can I do to lessen them and why do I have them to begin with? You can’t see them from straight on only profile view.
Answer: Laugh Lines / Nasolabial Folds - Fillers + Sculptra, Lasers like Fraxel/Clear + Brilliant, Radiofrequency, Peels, Skin Care I recommend fillers to soften the nasolabial folds themselves and also lift around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine Sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, skin tightening treatments such as Thermage, Fractora, and Renuvion (J Plasma), thread lifting, and peels to get the most conservative, natural look. I suggest seeing a facial sculpting expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Lines around the lips Hello @lipsandlaughs thank you for your question. Those are not marionette lines, those are formed between the nose and the mouth. The lines you have around the mouth are normal gestural lines. To have more recommendations and treatment I suggest you consult with a board certified specialist. Best wishes!

Answer: Peri-oral lines Those line may not be marionette lines, as those come from the downward pull from DAO muscles - Depressor Anguli Oris muscles. Your lines appear to be more related to laxity in the tissue rather than pull from the muscles. This is the best assessment from the photos. There is a good option of adding a small amount of filler to plump up those lines. The filler would be thin and not create a lot of bulky enlargement of that area. In addition, adding cheek filler can put traction and pull that area back and lessen the laxity. I would actually start with Cheek Filler. Another good option would be PDO Threads. These put traction on the tissue pulling it up and back along the cheek bone and would tether the skin back away from your mouth. All in all, there are options for you to lessen the appearance of these lines.

Answer: Fillers Hi there, It appears that you need some filler mid face and bit nasal labial. That should restore some of that lost volume you are experiencing. See an expert injector for best results. Best of luck!
