Is there anything I can try for acne scars after Morpheus8? (Photos)

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Great question! Morpheus 8 is an excellent option when you're looking to tighten your skin, improve texture and the appearance of scars. It takes three months after your last treatment to see optimal results.
It's hard to tell by the photos provided, but CO2 Laser is something you should consider post Morpheus. We highly recommended meeting face to face with a trusted/licensed provider. Typically, three treatments are needed. CO2 Laser helps resurface and smoothen out the appearance of ice pick scars. Results are remarkable when combined with Morpheus.

There are different types of indented acne scars such as boxcar, icepick, and rolling scars. While deep atrophic acne scars are difficult to treat, multiple procedures that can help address the appearance of them and soften them to improve skin texture. For example, resurfacing lasers, subcision, chemical peels, or dermal fillers are options that can be considered with varying amounts of downtime/recovery and lasting results. Morpheus 8 may not be the best procedure to treat moderate to severe acne scars. It is recommended you have a consultation with a provider that offers multiple modalities and treatment options that is best suited for you.
