Question

1. Can I achieve a toned / flat stomach look with liposuction , based on my picture ? Even though my upper stomach is protruding , as well and is not flat at all ? 2.Are there any financing options for these kind of procedures in Toronto ? 3.Based on the pictures provided, are my expectations of a flat stomach realistic ? Additional info: 5,10" 170 lbs Weight evenly distributed throughout the body, but there's quite a bit of excess abdominal fat. Thanks for your help!

First, you’d have to define what “toned/flat” means to you. Express your goals, in detail, to your surgeon, and they can let you know if it’s possible. In my opinion, I think it is possible to flatten your stomach despite the upper bulge you’re concerned about. This could be just a matter of muscle repair and/or fat removal, since I don’t see much saggy skin in that area. There are several financing options available in Toronto, where my practice is.

Toned and flat are hard to define, but you do appear to be a good candidate for liposuction and should arrange a consultation.  Your surgeon should be able to predict for you the type of result you can expect.  You can call one/all of the financing companies (Credit Medical/Medicard/Grouplend/Drelogix) to get a financing quote before seeing your surgeon.Good luck!

It is possible, but without actually examining you to feel whether the fat is internal or external there is no way to really give you specific advice. Whatever procedure you go with there are definitely many financing options. Thank you for your question and for sharing your photograph.  Based on your apparent skin quality you would be a good candidate for liposuction to help reduce some of the adipose bulk present to your abdomen.  This will help improve your shape and contour but will not provide a flat/toned stomach if you have laxity to your underlying musculature.  Hope this helps.

From the photograph it looks as though the surplus fat is not particularly excessive in the skin over the area is in good condition. You should be an excellent candidate for liposuction.

Liposuction will certainly improve the contour of your stomach and, by removing fat that lies under the skin, make it flatter. However, to achieve a toned muscular contour and flatter stomach, you will need to pay attention to diet and exercise in addition to liposuction. You'll get the most even result, with the lowest risk of dimpling, when liposuction is performed with small cannulas. Ask your surgeon how he or she performs the procedure. Look for a board-certified dermatologic surgeon experienced in the tumescent technique of liposuction- dermatologic  surgeons are trained to use small cannulas for finesse. Ask the surgeon you are considering whether financing options are offered. A medical credit card such as Care Credit, or other payment program may be available.

If your skin tone is very good and you do not have a lot of fat, then it is possible that the skin will do very well.  I would have to see in person to be sure.
