Tumescent lipo vs VASER lipo?

Thank you for your question kusadome. There is no evidence that VASER provides better results than traditional liposuction. VASER liposuction, like other energy-based techniques, can cause contour irregularities and scarring due to the heat produced by the devices. SAFE liposuction which is a variant of traditional liposuction is used to fix complications following energy-based techniques. I would recommend avoiding the VASER and going with SAFE liposuction. 

Surgeons almost always use tumescent liposuction for safety and much less bleeding. You can get great results with just tumescent liposuction. The power assistance or Vaser assistance is just to help diminish fatigue for the surgeon. A skilled surgeon can use several techniques.

Tumescent liposuction remains the gold standard for body contouring, despite the increased popularity of other methods. At my practice, I offer both VASER® liposuction and traditional tumescent liposuction. The choice of which method I use depends on the patient, the desired results and the area being treated, among other factors. Ultimately, however, the skill of your surgeon is the most important factor in achieving an optimum outcome.
