Interested in ThermiVa, can you opt for only the internal treatment and not the external? Can you only get one treatment?

Dear Musiclover_77,Thank you for writing in with your excellent question.Yes you can opt just for the internal treatment.  More time can be spent on the inside that would have been used for the outside, but realize after three minutes of effective treatment the body's response has been stimulated.  ThermiVa increases blood flow to the vagina, stimulates protein production that draws moisture in to help increase lubrication, stimulates blood vessel and nerve regeneration as well as collagen and elastin production.Vaginal dryness can be affected by medications like anti-histamines (these dry up our mucous secretions) and wine, as well as your water intake.  Hydration is important for the production of body fluids.  If you drink caffeine, cut back as that dehydrates the body even though you think you are putting in liquid.  Increase your water intake.  See if these changes help.It is recommended to have three ThermiVa treatments 4-6 weeks apart for maximum results and then a follow up visit is needed when you start to become symptomatic again (which may be in 12 to 18 months).  It's different with every body and has to do with how your body responds to the treatment.To read more about ThermiVa, please click on the link below.I hope this information is helpful.Sincerely,Troy R. It is your choice you can do external treatments for cosmetic rejuvenation, or internal treatments for laxity, vaginal dryness, pain with intercourse, g-spot enhancement and to rid yourself of urinary incontinence. treatment. As you know, Thermiva can improve lubrication. While
Thermiva does result in some vaginal tightening, I’ve never heard a
complaint of Thermiva resulting in being too tight – though I have
heard that complaint from vaginal rejuvenation surgeries. Good luck!

Yes, you can choose to do only external or only internal Thermiva treatments if you wanted to. Generally if you are only doing one or the other, the amount of time spent treating on each individual area would be increased as opposed to if you were doing both at the same time.

Thank you for your question. Yes, absolutely you can get the inside treated without the labia. Likewise, you can request to receive only one treatment with the understanding that your results will be that one one treatment. For dryness you may want to consider all 3 treatments but you can always start with one and reevaluate. The vagina is a very flexible and fully adjustable so no need to worry about getting too tight. Thank you for sharing. What you treat with ThermiVa will depend on what results you are looking for. If you are only seeking internal changes, ie (moisture, tightening, etc) then you would only need the internal treatment. External treatment with the ThermiVa is typically recommend for patient who are noticing enlargement or sagging of the labia minora and/or majora. You as the customer decide which treatment options you would like to receive. Although you may notice some changes after one treatment, they are typically not optimal. We recommend a series of three treatments around 6 weeks apart. After that, you typically will need maitenance treatments once or twice a year. Hope this helps!

We have had several patient choose to only treat the internal vagina since that was their only concern. Some patients choose to do treatments one at a time and assess their results prior to making another appointment. This is personal preference. It can help with vaginal dryness. Patients who have not had children can have ThermiVa and not worry about becoming "too tight."

These are great questions! The initial treatment protocol with ThermiVa is recommended to be 3 treatments one month apart. Each includes treatment of both internal and external areas. Thereafter, maintenance treatments can be performed with a single treatment every 6-12 months as needed. For those that don't have external dryness or want external aesthetic treatments, patients can opt not to have the external portion of the treatment , or vice versa. Most likely the treatment price will remain the same though. ThermiVa is excellent at restoring vaginal lubrication quickly and can tighten the vaginal vault as the firmness and elasticity of the local collagen is improved. ThermiVa treatments will help with restoring vaginal health without overtightening it.

Thank you for your question. Thermiva is great in that it can be customized to help reach each unique patient's goals. If you only want to have a tighter vaginal canal, your provider can forego your external genitalia without problem. Currently, the recommendation is for three treatments, one per month. Without following this protocol, as providers we can not guarantee you will get the benefit of the treatment. Lastly, because ThermiVa is non-invasive it would be difficult to get your vagina "too tight," so I would not be too worried with that concern. Good luck!

Thanks for your questions.  I have offered ThermiVa treatments at my office since if was first available and we have treated many patients.  These patients are among the happiest in my practice, because ThermiVa really works!  If you have no concerns about vaginal laxity, but are primarily interested in increasing moisture, then ThermiVa should help.  You can do just one treatment, as opposed to the recommended series of 3, but your results will not be as pronounced, nor will they last as long.  You may not even see results after just one treatment.  ThermiVa will not make things too tight.  You also can skip the external treatment, if you want.  You may have to search to find a provider who is flexible enough for you, but it's all doable.  I would recommend at least doing 2 treatments, however.  I hope this was helpful!
