Do you apply the R20 technique when using the Picosure laser (can you discuss scarring potential and whether or not R20 technique with Picosure is necessary)? Is it safe to do more than one pass of the Picosure until you get the reaction you want to see? Also, what kind of reaction are you looking for to decide whether or not to increase the energy while using the Picosure?

RhinnhSorry to hear about your disappointing result with PicoSure. I have had excellent results with the Pico on almost all tattoo colors, except red and some oranges. I doubt it was the laser that failed you. It was more likely that improper settings were used for the spot size and...
PicoSure is a great laser and is able to treat some colors, especially blue and green ink, very well with less tissue reaction and good clearing. I find the nanosecond 1064nm and 532nm to be more effective for black and red ink than the PicoSure Laser.
