Hello, I have a question regarding the removal of a pigment spot. I have skin type III, am half-Filipina, and tend to have freckles and light acne scars. The first doctor said that she wouldnt do the Picolaser, because of my skintype. She said that the results will be unpredictable and recommended a chemical peeling. Doctor nr. 2 said he would try the OPL- Light. What would you recommend? Thanks in advance!
A couple Picosure providers I've talked to provide both regular Picosure/flat lens/pigment and also Picosure focus at a higher price point. My questions is what is the real difference between the two and is it worth the options and is it worth the additional $150-$200 to get the Picosure Focus. Thanks!
I have heard of IPL, BBL, pico lasers, co2, and nd-yag lasers to remove hyperpigmentation (brown spots, not red spots). I have redness from grade 1 rosacea as well but don't want to target that (I understand that redness would likely still be somewhat affected). What is the best laser that is mostly only for brown spots?
Im not sure what this is exactly - Ive been told a brown spot, birthmark, etc. Ive had it for as long as I could remember and Im pushing 30. Its definitely flat because it lays under the skin. Its located between my brows on my forehead as per the pics. Ive been quoted with Sciton Profractional and other lasers from a couple of Medspas. Id love to hear other expert opinions. Really looking forward to getting rid of this. Thank you for your time!
I have had three Picosure treatments a month apart for facial brown spots. After each treatment, there is redness, and very minor swelling and discomfort, which disappear within 48 hours. Contrary to other posts I have read, the brown spots do not get a coffee-ground appearance or flake off. In fact, other spots I did not notice before have become more visible. Should I persist with this treatment?
I am a mid 20s male who has acquired brown spots and freckles on the drivers side of my face. The spots are in my beard area, however I have not really developed anything more than a few hairs in this area yet (late bloomer). I have type 1 skin. I have had offices mention both IPL and Picosure Focus. Since I haven't grown a beard yet - would IPL impact the future growth of my beard? Also, with Picosure - how effective is it at treating brown spots? What is the downtime? Does it risk hair loss?
Is this a permanenet treatment for melsama and hyperpigmentation? is this a right way to treat . i used hydroqunone and OBAGI Nu Derm kit but nothing worked on me. Please advise. i am tired enough, spent so much money. but nothing is working on me. my face is getting more and more sensitive with these products. i need permanent solution.
I recently had 4 treatments of Picosure done and the laser technician accidentally went over my lips when she passed over the area above my lips. The area above my lips are super dry, flaky and now I'm seeing the pigmentation has faded causing my lips to look uneven. The clinic I went to tells me this is impossible with the 750 PicoSure. Is this true? What else could cause this?
