After my mom passed, I broke out a lot and got on accutane. Needed something for marks/scars so i researched laser genesis and found a really great dr in Stamford, CT. First office visit was comforting. Dr was very honest about the kind of laser therapy that would be best for me and offered me a package of 5 sessions for $1520. Today was my first session. It was hot but i felt like i was sunbathing and it’s been 3 hours so far and i feel great no side effects. No more redness which only lasted 5 mins on right cheek. I feel like i have a slight sunburn but that’s it. I do see a difference in my skin. A slight difference but it’s very exciting. Updated on 2 Jun 2018: I see a lot of the redness has disappeared and the brown acne scars look lighter. I know it’s too soon to see a big difference but I’m loving the results so far. My face was bad and i needed heavy/full coverage foundation. I think once i finish my treatment that won’t be necessary anymore Updated on 5 Jun 2018: Skin isn’t perfect but first time in a year that i can go outside without makeup. Feeling good
I have seen multiple dermatologists, but Dr. Ibrahimi is easily the best. I’m currently undergoing the Infini RF procedure for acne scarring, under his care. He is very knowledgeable on the procedure, and answering all questions I had about it, during our consultation. He continuously asks if you’re doing alright during the procedure, demonstrating phenomenal bedside manner. Even the office staff are some of the nicest and most accommodative people I have encountered in medicine. Always very welcoming and smiling. I strongly recommend Dr. Ibrahimi.
Dr. Ibrahimi is a great doctor with a wonderful bedside manner. He always makes me feel very comfortable and has never tried to push any procedures. He's very honest about what will improve my appearance and what is not yet needed. He's an expert injector. I've never had any issues and will definitely be returning.
I had a problem area that I could not significantly improve with diet and exercise. In my research for a solution, the Connecticut Skin Institute came up as the best practice for me to look into for potential solutions to my concerns. Dr. Ibrahimi has gold star, top of the line Cool Sculpting equipment. I thought I would give it a try and the procedure resulted in a fantastic outcome for me! I am a happy client.
I saw Dr. Ibrahimi for several procedures: Cool Sculpting, Ultherapy and Kybella. I had an excellent result from all procedures. I found Dr. Ibrahimi to be extremely knowledgeable and professional. He was fully engaged during my consult, and he took the time to answer all my questions, explain each procedure and walked me through potential results, side effects, etc. He did not try to "sell" me on any procedure at all which I have experienced at other medi-spa type establishments. This is clearly a professional medical practice and they take their work seriously and it is evident they want you to be satisfied with the results of the procedures. Staff is friendly, accommodating and the offices are pleasant. Highly recommend Dr. Ibrahimi without any reservations.
It's taken years but I finally found the best! I lost my confidence after both years and thousands of dollars wasted trying to address my concerns (I'm fair skin with rosacea, sun damage, small scars, change in texture). Other doctors recommended series of lasers (IPL, Venus, etc), peels, and expensive products that were ineffective. But after one consultation and treatment session with Dr Ibrahimi, I've never looked better! I no longer hide my face under baseball caps. He is honest, direct, smart and skilled. He guides the laser and filler with a master's technique. I look like a younger and better version of myself - nothing fake or overdone. Even better, he has a range of lasers that are unparalleled locally. The only other offices that offer a comparable array of lasers were in Manhattan. Dr Ibrahimi does not have lasers that are merely "jack of all trades, master of none." It's been almost two weeks since my first treatment (laser & filler) and I feel like it was the best investment I could've made. Yes, I realize I'm gushing but after so many experiences losing hope, tons of money and self confidence, I'm finally able to look in the mirror and feel good. On top of everything, there is no product pushing and the staff are wonderful. It's a polished, professional and top of the line experience.
When I first heard about CoolSculpting, I was skeptical. Could this procedure really freeze away stubborn body fat non-invasively, and without any downtime? Well, when I tried CoolSculpting myself at the Connecticut Skin Institute (CSI), my skepticism vanished -- along with the excess fat deposits around my waistline. As a young man, I had always promised myself I would never develop a gut -- and I never did. However, in spite of my endless efforts to stay fit, I did manage to develop love handles. And there was nothing I could do to get rid of them. That's when my physician referred me to Dr. Omar Ibrahimi at CSI. A medical practice can be an intimidating place. But Dr. Ibrahimi, who was trained at Harvard, set the tone for his entire staff with his warm, reassuring demeanor -- and I immediately felt welcomed and at ease. Dr. Ibrahimi explained how CoolSculpting works non-surgically by freezing away unwanted fat cells, which are then gradually absorbed by my body, never to return. The end result far exceeded my expectations. Now, when I wake up in the morning, the skin around my waistline feels taught and healthy -- just as it did when I was a teenager. Instead of feeling fat and old, I feel thin and youthful. Instead of feeling bloated and depressed, I feel toned and happy. My clothes fit better and I'm a more confident person. What an amazing difference CoolSculpting made in virtually every aspect of my existence. I am grateful to Dr. Ibrahimi and CSI for improving my figure and changing my life forever.
Every experience with Dr. Ibrahimi at The Connecticut Skin Institute is everything a patient expects when either picking a doctor and/or seeing their their doctor for whatever needs they may have. He is extremely attentive to his patients concerns, their needs, and how to achieve any results they are looking to have. I have been seeing Dr. Ibrahimi for about a year now for laser tattoo removal treatments. Every time I walk into his exquisite office, I am greeted by his friendly and professional upbeat staff. During my sessions with Dr. Ibrahimi, we always pick up the conversation where we left off. It's a great feeling when you know your Doctor takes the time to get to know you personally and not just as general patient walking through their doors. For any laser treatment (especially with a doctor who uses the latest technology in lasers), Dr. Ibrahimi is the absolute best on the East coast!!!
Dr. Ibrahimi came highly recommended from a dermatologist I saw regarding basal cell carcinoma on my left cheek. I am so glad that I was referred to him. Since the cancer was on my face, I was hesitant about getting the MOHs procedure. Dr. Ibrahimi was very honest and told me the growth was quite large. He explained the procedure and provided all the information I needed to know regarding the surgery. He was confident that he would be able to remove the cancer and I would be happy with the results. Three weeks later as I write this review, I am very pleased with how it turned out. The scar is minimal considering the size of the growth and the amount of sutures I had. Dr. Ibrahimi and his staff, especially his medical assistant Jenn, were very welcoming and caring. From making the appointment, to the follow-up care and everything in between, they always made me feel at ease. After surgery, they were very responsive to my questions/calls and even called to check in after their work hours! I had a follow-up appointment five days after the procedure to check on the sutures and to see how I was healing. This practice exemplifies the highest of standards and I am so happy I chose them. I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Ibrahimi and his staff and would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of this procedure. I am only 58 years old, the correct weight for my age and height, and I still had this sagging skin under my chin. It was loose and I didn't think I was a Kybella candidate. But I was thrilled to learn I was. The first treatment was very painful and I had a great deal of swelling. I iced religiously as directed (you need to wait about 5 to 6 hours after treatment). I was out in public after 3 days. The second treatment was not as painful and each one got increasingly easier. I did not see results until after the 3rd treatment, which I was told was normal. So far, I have had 5 treatments. They use fewer syringes each time, so the cost does go down. I am so thrilled with the results! My confidence has gone through the roof. I am no longer self conscious of that area.
Coolsculpting is best for people that are close to or a "normal" body weight. That said occasionally I find patients that are committed to beginning a workout/diet program together with coolsculpting can also give very satisfying results. In our office, every single patient is personally evaluated by me to make sure they are a good candidate. Make sure you are going to a place where there is a board certified dermatologist in charge and will actually see you prior to the procedure to ensure best results.
These types of acne scars typically do well with the Infini device. I have over 23 different devices in my office and this is usually my go to for acne scarring.
Hi it appears your scars are either from old acne lesions or if you picked at your skin. This can be treated with a series of laser treatments but I would recommend seeing a dermatologist with advanced training in lasers and also an expert in skin of color.
We have a variety of options to treat freckles and believe it or not, more important than what technology is used, is the knowledge and training of the person performing the procedure. Since the majority of lasers on the market for skin rejuvenation were developed by dermatologists, I tell my patients, you're best bet is to see a dermatologist with advanced training in lasers. The Picosure is one option but in my office, I have about 7 difference laser devices used to treat freckles and pigment and which one to use really depends on the individual patient, their goals, their needs, their ability to have downtime and their budget.
Mohs surgery by a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) is your best option for a Basal cell cancer on the face as it has the highest cure rate and minimizes the removal of normal skin. ACMS Mohs surgeons typically perform the majority of skin cancer reconstruction on the face and can likely offer you the best results.
