What do I do about the pubic hair coming out of my incision? (photo)

I'm noticing that there appears to be pubic hairs coming out of my incision. I'm guessing that since my incision rests right above my hairline, that some of the skin with hair on it got tucked it it. My question is, will this pose a problem with my healing? I'm 3.5 weeks post op now, and my scar seems to be healing ok, I'm just not sure what to do about the hair... should I try to pull it out? Thanks.

You are most likely correct--a few hair follicles may be caught within the healing wound.  Normally, this would not cause significant problems with wound healing, but if the hairs are a concern, the area could be excised under local anesthesia, or treated with laser or electrolysis.
