Question

I’ve been cleared by my PS and my air line to fly from long haul six days post op. My operation was complication free. I had my follow up appointment today and he said I’m healing very well. As I was leaving he asked if my clot was sore? I said no not really but the wording has made me slightly worried now! As shown in my picture I have what I thought was just normal bruising. Or has something been lost in translation? Is a bruise not a blood clot? He’s on leave tomorrow and can’t ask him what he ment?

There is no sign of any "clot" in your photo.  You appear to have a normal amount of bruising for 6 days post op.  There is always risk with travelling, particularly such a short time after surgery. Contact the clinic if you have ongoing concerns.  There should be another surgeon or nurse available to answer your questions.
