Could this be early signs of capsular contracture? Should I be worried?

It is normal for your breast to feel tight in the immediate postoperative period.  It could take weeks to months for them to loosen up.  Make sure to follow up with your PS.  Dr G

It seems like you have normal postoperative discomfort, which is often asymmetric. It is really too early to have a true contracture.

Dear zucchero101,Thank you for your question.  At this early time in your recovery all your symptoms are normal and not an indication of any problems including capsular contracture.  It is normal to have different sensations between the sides; icluding one sided spasms.  Try and relax and follow your surgeons instructions and keep your follow-up appointments.  Hope thsi helpsJames Sheridan, MD

Thank you for your question and congratulations on your surgery! It is too early for there to be any signs or concerns of capsular contracture. It is normal too have one side more painful than the other. You need to ensure that there are no significant differences otherwise however specifically increased swelling or bruising as this could be a sign of bleeding.
