Yes, it’s possible to have tubular breast deformity with small or large breasts. One of the definitive characteristics is constriction of the base of the breast at the inframammary fold. I’m not sure if your breast is cone shaped that if would fit the description, but I’d need a picture or to examine you to be sure. Surgical options to improve this include areolar reduction, breast implants, a breast lift, or combinations of these. It’s very rewarding to help patients transform their breasts from feelings of deformity to feelings of happiness.
Photos would be helpful in your assessment. Tubular breasts are characterized by an undefined breast fold, constriction of tissue around the nipples. Nipple/areola puffiness may also be present. If you don’t think you share these traits, then your breasts may simply be saggy, in which case a breast lift may help. An areola reduction may be performed at the same time to give you a more proportionate appearance.
Thank you for your question. It is definitely possible to have tubular shaped breasts even with a larger sized breasts. I would suggest an in person evaluation if you want to know for sure.
Hi. Yes it is certainly possible to have some of the tubular breast traits even if your breasts are large. But since you have large areolas and saggy breasts, a breast lift could address all of your concerns. Adding an implant could also help the shape but you may not need this if your breasts are already large. Consult with a PS to discuss the options, but it sounds like you should be able to fix your complaints. Best of luck!
Without the benefit of photos, its impossible to make a diagnosis - but sagging breasts with large areola can be treated with a breast lift procedure - this creates an ideal shape to the breast in exchange for a set of surgical scars that fade with time.
Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs so I cannot determine whether your breasts are tuberous or not. It is possible that you have large breasts that are not tuberous. In that case, I recommend The Bellesoma Breast Lift.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Dear Thoughtful4324,tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall. The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition. My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries. That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Tuberous breast is not, technically speaking, a "yes" or "no" question. There can be different points on the continuum. The typical hallmarks include a high, tight fold with "puffy" or distended areola, minimal breast tissue and potentially herniation of the breast tissue through a tightened ring thus the "tuberous" label. It is a congenital deformity which usually manifests at puberty. To what degree it manifests will vary from one patient to the next.Treatment of tuberous breasts varies depending on the degree of the breast architectural distortion. Surgical correction typically involves:-areolar reduction-submuscular augmentation-release of constricted breast tissueAll of these techniques work in concert to correct the tuberous deformation of the breast. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).Donovan Rosas MDBoard Certified by the American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember: American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic SurgeonsRealSelf Top 100RealSelf Hall of Fame

Yes, tubular breasts can be seen at most every size, but are more common in smaller breasts. The shape, not size, dictates if a tubular breast is present.
