Is movement after breast lift with implant normal?

Hello,This sounds normal. The implant can move in its pocket so you may be feeling that or there may be more swelling on that side that is causing it to appear that way. The best thing to do is have your surgeon take a look at it. All the best in your recovery!Dr. BlaggAustin, TX

Dear dunn060980,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast lift surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides  you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD

It is normal for the implants to be movable up and down immediately after surgery.  As a matter of fact, one week after surgery we start teaching the patients how to do the proper breast massage so that the implant purposely moves up and results in a pocket a bit larger than the implant in order to stay soft.  I hope this has been helpful.

This soon post-operatively, things will be changing a lot as your body goes through the normal process of swelling and healing. Of course if you are at all concerned that something isn't right, you should go and see your Plastic Surgeon. Only an in-person physical exam can confirm that the healing process is progressing appropriately. Best of luck!
