I had a gyno revision about 6 weeks ago as the first opperation was not successful. The left side seems to be healing well and is flat, however the right side is still puffy and has alot of scars and scabs due to alot of bruising. The right side is fairly soft and isnt very hard. Will it correct itself. Please help
Answer: Gynecomastia Hi, thank you for your inquiry. I see your area of concern. Every body heals differently and most times the healing rate of one side of the body compared to the opposite side often varies. You should be seeing a gradual improvement within the first couple of months. Follow up with your plastic surgeon.

Answer: 6 weeks post revision gynecomastia. The right side isn't healing as well. Will it correct itself? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. I see your area of concern but it can take several weeks for your surgical results to soften and mature with each side healing at different rates. That said you should have been seeing a gradual improvement over the six weeks so if this is not the case, talk to your surgeon.

Answer: 6 weeks post gynecomastia revision Hello and thank you for posting photos along with your question! 6 weeks is very soon to judge your surgery at this point. Since this was a revision, it is a more difficult case than a primary gynecomastia correction. Scar tissue will probably be present longer. However, you should definitely express your concerns with your plastic surgeon because they may have suggestions on how to improve the results and how to decrease scar formation. They may have you perform scar massage to soften things up and prevent things from scarring down. Hope this helps and wishing you the best of luck in your recovery! Answer: 6 Weeks Post Op Gynecomastia Surgery It is not unusual for the sides of your chest to heal at different rates. You may continue to have swelling for several more weeks. If you are developing scar tissue it is possible to treat with steroids injections for some patients. Discuss your concerns with your surgeon. Good luck.

Answer: Gynecomastia surgery results Dear renegadeclown, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a gynecomastia surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.
