I am 4 weeks post-op. Still have minimal residual swelling on lateral face near my ears. I don't want to jeopardize my results or the health of my skin by having a procedure too soon.

Answer: Laser after a facelift Thank you for your question. It depends on how you are healing and what type of face lift you had performed.I perform a lot of ablative resurfacing at the same time as the facelift in the right candidates.I would ask your surgeon, however after 6 weeks you should be able to do the Fraxel no matter what type of facelift you had as long as you have healed appropriately.Good luck.

Answer: Laser after facelifting Laser over the nonsurgical areas are safe to do now. Laser over the surgical areas such as the lateral face and neck should wait 2 months post op in my opinion. You surgeon will know when and where he operatedand would be the best person to ask.

Answer: Ask your surgeon! RealSelf is an awesome site, but when it comes to getting specific advice, you already have a surgeon and you should ask him/her. No one should be offering you an opinion as to when you can do another procedure other than your surgeon in consultation with the dermatologist doing your fraxel.
