Follow up. Could pulsating pain in temples be nerve pain & not resolve, 9 weeks post endoscopic brow, face & neck lift?

This is addition to my last ? The pulsating pain in temples is alway bad & tight, can be really unbearable at times. Def having nerve pain in temples & scalp, sometimes cheeks but hoping that is part of a very long slow healing?? Cheeks are also tight & Sometimes feel worse than others. Feels like multiple issues & can't imagine living w/ temples this way forever. multiple issues. I don't really want pain meds as the answer, want to resolve the problem. Hoping you can help

What you're experiencing is most unusual. One worry about damage to the superficial temporal nerves. They are juxtaposed with the super facial temporal vessels and there may be some relationship relative to healing between these two. Have this checked out by your plastic surgeon.

For most patients at this stage of their recovery, swelling, bruising and discomfort has usually resolved.  Its possible that you are experiencing pain as a result of some nerve bruising and in my experience, such nerve related symptoms can go on for many months but eventually settle down.  The use of medication such as tegretol can be of benefit and you could raise this with your surgeon.  Be patient, nerves heal and eventually settle down.

It is unclear what is causing your symptoms.  At this stage, most of the swelling has resolved.  It is possible that you are having some nerve pain or discomfort associated with the internal sutures that were placed to help suspend the face.  You should discuss this with your surgeon for evaluation.
