I had a very successful blepharoplasty on my lower lids plus a canthopexy. My eyes still look tilted upwards but seem to relax daily and I'm loving results so far. My problem is that on my left side there is a hard lump where the suture is (right from the beginning) that seems to protrude through my skin. right side is fine. My surgeon is excellent but he is overseas, and he has not seemed concerned. But I am and wonder what I can do locally to treat this.

Answer: Lump following blepharoplasty Happy to hear you are pleased with your blepharoplasty. I understand your concern, but lumps and bumps following blepharoplasty are very normal and settle out over time. I wouldn't rush to do anything at 3 weeks as this is still very early! If it doesn't settle out in 6-8 weeks, he may want to consider an intervention at that point.

Answer: Bump after procedure Thank you for your question. This is completely normal and should improve with time. Sometimes I will suggest that a patient gently massage the area, and may even inject a little kenalog (steroid) in the area to help it soften - but this is entirely up to your surgeon. This is likely due to the stitch that was used in the canthopexy - and it will settle. Best of luck!
