I'm sorry I'm struggling very much right now and I really need some help. I'm severely depressed. I haven't left the house since my surgery a month ago. I have only left the house to go to my 2 follow up appointments. I brought up my concern about uniboob to him and he shrugged his shoulders. He also gave me 100 cc difference in each breast when I went in thinking it was going to be 375 and 425. And I can definitely tell. Do I have uniboob. I can't handle this.
Answer: Symmastia Thank you for your question. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to breast revision surgery. Based on your pictures, it appears that you do indeed have symmastia and overall poorly performed surgery. The areolas are too far to the side and the quality of the incisions is poor. I would not go back to this surgeon. I am sure that there are many surgeons in your area with expertise and experience in revision breast surgery, but you will definitely need a revision. Best wishes to you.

Answer: Breasts You are only a month out and still have swelling. Plus, your tissues need to relax and settle. Once settled, you may be fine. After 6 months, if it is still too tight, go smaller.

Answer: Revision at 6 months It is not symmastia yet. However, your implants are much too large and your breasts are pointing outward. I recommend you wait 6 months from the date of surgery before undergoing any revision. At that time, I recommend implant exchange with smaller implants and having a circumareola approach to reposition the nipple-areola complexes more medial and plication more medially. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast augmentation outcome To make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we generally always need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. It looks like you have Haily divergent breast. It would be very helpful to know what your breast look like before surgery. Breast augmentation outcomes are typically based on three variables. The first is the patients candidacy for the procedure. Not everybody is an ideal candidate for perfect breast augmentation outcomes. Ideally providers should give a detailed explanation regarding each individual persons candidacy for the procedure during in person, consultations. For example, women who have significantly divergent breast or breast. A symmetry should be told that this may be amplified with implants. The second variable is the choice of implants regarding style shape and size. The third variable is the technical ability to place the implants in the anatomically correct position. I don’t think you have Astea, but you do have highly divergent nipples. Consider reposting with proper before and after pictures. Better yet follow up with your provider or schedule a few in person second opinion consultations. For second opinion, consultations always come prepared to bring with you a complete set up before and after pictures and a copy of your operative report. These are available from your provider if you request them. Best,Mats Hagstrom, MD
