In our experience, vertical frown lines respond best to a neurotoxin like botox. We have had some success in minimizing the depth of deep frown lines using microdroplet Silikon-1000, however, this area tends to show visible product when injected too superficially. I hope this helps!

These lines between your brows are are caused by movement of the gabellar muscles. The best way to treat this would be to use Botox or one of the other 5 botulinum toxin products available in the US. I would not recommend fillers in this area. The blood supply is limited and if the fillers are injected into a vessel, this is a high risk area for skin necrosis. More scary is the risk of blindness when injecting into this area. Having said that, I do sometime use fillers in this area. If the lines are etched in to the skin, you may need a little more help to pop them out. I use hyper diluted hyaluronic acid fillers and inject very very superficially and very very carefully. Fillers in this area should only be attempted by very experienced injectors and should not be done repeatedly. Once you fill the engraved lines, you can maintain by keeping up with your botulinum toxin treatments.

The proper way to treat eleven lines (and also horizontal forehead worry lines and crow's feet on the sides of the eyes) is to first address the dynamic component, i.e. the underlying movement of the experssion muscles responsible for the appearance of these lines in the first place. Once these muscles are quieted with Botox, then filler can be used for the wirnkles in the overlying skin that the muscular movement gave rise to. If both the dynamic and static are treated in one session, as is often the case, the filler is placed first and then the Botox given. If performed in separate sessions, Botox is given in the first session and then the filler in the subsequent one. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist and best of luck.

It's a very vascular area and if filler gets into an artery it can cause a vascular occlusion or simply put, a blockage in the artery that supplies blood and oxygen to your eyes, which can result in blindness and tissue necrosis. Hello and thank you for your question! I would recommend doing both Botox and Filler for between the brows. The filler will fill in the resting lines while the Botox will help prevent you from making that angry face. One way to prevent that line from deepening is to treat those muscles with Botox. Frown lines are formed by an individual who is frowning, consciously or subconsciously. The best way to treat frowning is with the use of Botox, which will relax the muscles of that action. Only after a treatment of Botox should a filler be used and even then only if necessary still.. If a filler is placed into a frown line, without the Botox, the results will be rather unpleasant.
