Yours is a quite common case of asian rhinoplasty; fortunately your dorsum is ok, it needs only narrowing. The tip is not among the most complex ones, it needs re-defining by means of grafts but not the most complex procedures.Find a good expert in such cases.
Asian noses are challenging. I prefer the closed approach due to the high incidence of poor scarring. The most important aspect of all cosmetic surgery is realistic expectations of what can be achieved with surgery. All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL
Your tip can be refined, the nasal bones and base narrowed. I would need more photos of your profile to say what needs to be done . You can have a very natural and masculine look IF you see a very experienced rhinoplasty surgeon who does not overdo noses. Rely on seeing his work not imaging.
You would benefit from narrowing the base of the nasal bones, alar reduction and tip refinement (as much as your skin will allow). You may also benefit from dorsal grafting with either your own cartilage or silicone, but the photos alone are not sufficient to make that determination not to mention that this should be a collaborative discussion to make sure you are guided towards a nose you find appealing. See a rhinoplasty specialist who is skilled with Asian noses.
Hi there. I agree with the other Physicians on this Panel that ethnic rhinoplasty is challenging. Really, my recommendation is to consult with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon; one who is able to show you multiple before and after photos of patients with concerns similar to yours. This way, you can assess the quality of the work as well as determine whether your expectations are achievable. The American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery has a resource on their website to locate a surgeon close to your area.Hope this is helpful. Best wishes.
Remember, when taking "selfies" and closeup frontal pictures, the lens of the camera is at a wide angle, and creates a very parabolic and distorted picture. These photographs will make your nose looked artificially too large. Its best to use a more tele-photo setting and back up to take a picture so that there is a one-to-one ratio without facial distortion. If you still have a large and wide nose with a normal camera lens, the nose can be made more narrow with a rhinoplasty procedure. To narrow the bridge, osteotomies are required. To narrow the tip require suture techniques and a conservative cartilage removal to narrow wide nasal tip cartilages. Narrowing wide nostrils as accomplished with an alar-plasty. For many examples, please see the video and link below
A good place to start is with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) to locate a highly experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area. In general, Asian noses are low bridged and have broad tips with weak alar cartilages. You can have a very natural and masculine look IF you see a very experienced Plastic surgeon who does not overdo noses. Best wishes to you!
Asian noses are generally thick skinned, low bridged and have broad tips with me weak alarm cartilages. Raising the bridge with cartilage grafts narrowing the bones and tip grafting with nostril narrowing should improve the nose. I would be conservative and not overdo it.
