I want a bbl and plan on moving forward with one however, I lack skin laxity. I’m 5’3 123 lbs so I don’t know if I have enough fat to fill up the places I want volume in order to obtain my desired result. I’m wondering if a lift would be necessary before the bbl.
Answer: Thank you for your question! We would need to check your medical history in order to better assess your case as far as maybe if you have lost weight or fluctuated in your weight, which would give us a better idea of the condition of the skin, but if in fact what you have is more so loose skin then yes a circular tummy tuck or also known as lower body lift would be a great procedure for you. It would give you an automatic butt lift and in addition we can add that and transfer to your butt for added projections. I think you would be a good candidate and have great results!

Answer: Determining the Right Approach: BBL vs. Lower Body Lift Hello Katz111. Thank you for your question regarding whether a lower body lift is necessary to achieve your desired BBL results. Thank you for your history and your pictures. The main question is what kind of buttock shape and size you desire. If you're looking to increase the size of your buttocks, I would recommend starting with a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). Afterward, you might consider an extended tummy tuck or a 270-degree lower body lift to further enhance your contours. However, if your goal is to have a smaller, lifted, and perkier buttock, then a 360-degree circumferential lower body lift might be the better choice. Based on the results from the lower body lift, you may find that you no longer need a BBL to achieve your desired look. Good luck, and I hope this helps guide you towards the best procedure for your goals! Sincerely, J. Timothy Katzen, MD, FASMBS, FICS

Answer: Butt lift Hello Katz111. Needing a but lift depends on the elasticity of the skin, which is sometimes difficult to judge with a picture. Is you have not lost a lot of weight, it is probable that you do not need a posterior lift, and a liposuction of the back and flanks would be enough to enhance the butt. But if the elasticity of your skin is not adequate, a posterior lift, combined with liposuction and fat transfer would be the best option. Let me knos is you would like more information. Thanks Dr. Medina

Answer: Saggy skin You have developed very hollow hip dips and saggy buttocks, your lovehandles are thick and saggy as well, so you are a perfect candidate for liposuction to lovehandles, which will become saggier because of deflation, also a real buttocks lift (incision above the buttocks area) to create a smoother appearance of the butt, and a real rejuvenation which means tighter and firmer and use the fat from the liposuction and the fat from the skin removal (fat fragmentation) to achieve rounder more projected butt and fuller hip dips. Be encouraged!! You will look amazing and rejuvenated. Dr. Cardenas

Answer: Lower body lift Dear Katz111, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. It is probably better to get BBL and wait to see if you will end up with loose skin. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
