Can CoolSculpting be done over the navel? I feel like I need another treatment.

Hi I had coolsculpting done on my abdomen in Oct 2017, I feel like I need another treatment, however my "pinchable" fat is almost directly over my navel. I've seen pics and reviews on here where the pad was placed over the navel but my Dr says it shouldn't be, that it's not safe to do. Can you tell me what your opinions are on this subject? Thanks

Hi.  Thanks for the question.
It is safe to place the CS applicator over the navel area as long as you do not have a hernia there.  That means you need to be evaluated by your physician to be sure of this.

The CoolSculpt Advantage applicators have less suction to it so it is safer to put directly on the umbilicus. Check with your provider first to make sure you don't have a hernia.

We have treated over the navel but will typically dial down on the suction if needed.  In most instances the applicators can be placed so that the area around the umbilicus is treated without having to go directly over the navel.
