I am 8 days out from my 30 micron laser peel. I am disappointed because my skin feels almost like sandpaper, pores are not as dimished as I thought they would be. I feel as though my skin is more dull and rough now than before I got the laser peel. any input or suggestions would be great.

Answer: Laser Treatment Recovery Thank you for the question. 8 days post laser resurfacing is still quite early in the recovery phase. I would certainly wait about 3 months before coming into a conclusion about the final results. Skin remodeling needs to take its course, which is about 12 weeks. If you are still unsatisfied after this period, then I recommend an in-person evaluation with a certified cosmetic plastic surgeon for a comprehensive treatment plan for your areas of concern. Hope this helps!

Answer: After microlaser peel results Microlaser peel is great but the results come in stages. There is the initial time of peeling, the time of redness and then the agony of waiting for collagen stimulation to occur - that takes 3 months at a minimum and no technology can speed up this progress. Consult your practitioner - sometimes rough skin is skin that is not hydrated enough and has not actually peeled fully. 8 days is just too early to see fabulous results - talk it over with your doctor.
