Hi there, I will presume that you have had injections to your palms for the purposes of controlling excess sweating, or hyperhidrosis, in your hands. Weakness in the hands after a procedure such as this can occur, and is related to the effect of the toxin on the intrinsic muscles of the hands which perform fine motor functions. Toxin treatment of the hands should always be exercised with caution in those who use their hands for their job, as this can be affected. As the effect is already present, however, the extent and duration will vary depending on the number of units used and how profound the weakness is. The less the number of units used, the more likely it is that the effects will be transient. Hands are used on a daily basis, and use of the muscles will gradually bring back the function fully. Toxins wear off over time, and this is not something that will stay long term - please be reassured. However, I would advise your treating physician of the incident in order to allow them to document it and consult with you to advise you further. Hop this helps! Best, MJ x
