I had a breast implant replacement, which I had 320 CC to 560 CC. My old implants were 11 years old and no complaints. I had the surgery in July 2024 and they looked wonderful for a few months. Now, 4 mos out I have started noticing some misshaping on my left side. The inner crease area feels boxy/square, but I can almost pinch the implant back up a bit and it looks normal again? I believe I can feel the implant in this area, as the other side feels completely different and smooth.
Answer: Implants Your inferior medial pocket can be adjusted to help smooth out that area. Going up in size helped create this problem.

Answer: Implant The implant has bottomed out below the border of the pectoralis muscle and caused lower pole / inframammary fold stretch / malposition. This can be fixed with proper internal pocket tightening and support (such as using a scaffold/mesh). I recommend finding someone who has completed an accredited fellowship by the Aesthetic Society who is also a board-certified plastic surgeon (American Board of Plastic Surgery).

Answer: Muscle tear Dear Giselle813, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Breast Implant Rippling ? I see in the pic a small "point" on your right breast (the side you are pushing inward). Is this the spot you are worried about ? It is not an area covered by the muscle, but it does have the appearance of an implant wrinkle or ripple. If you push on it, it will "click" when you push down. You may also notice implant rippling when you lean forward in the cleavage area, or on the side of the breast where the tissues are thinnest. If that is the problem, there are several options for correction. Thin patients are more likely to have this issue, so mesh, fat grafting, pocket correction, and switching implants are all options. Your surgeon is best qualified to figure this out and offer you options.

Answer: Upsizing implants with inner lower knuckling noted cause Based on the one posted photo, that’s the implant shell denting in the bottom inner part of the breast, the capsule or scar tissue has released in that area and allows the implant to cause this folding appearance, and as you describe, it is easily corrected by pushing it back toward the center. Possible treatments would be micro fat grafting in the area under ultrasound to build a layer of Padding so to speak. Best virtual consult with. Fee $2000-$4000.
