Sorry for the problem.Most superficial wounds or spitting stitches heal quickly with the care your surgeon has implemented.If the incision continues to stay red and oozing, then you might want to ask your surgeon to perform a cotton swab culture of the drainage to determine if any bacteria are present. If bacteria are identified, then the test will determine which antibiotic will be most effective. Remember, not all antibiotics work on every wound infection.Sometimes, appropriate antibiotics are necessary to help a wound heal.Good Luck.

Thank you for your pictures and questions. I would agree that this appears to be some irritation from suture material. The quickest thing is likely to remove the suture and then let the area heal. If the suture is dissolvable, it might go away with time but this might take longer.
